Learn how to produce vocals at home that sound modern, polished, and professional.
It takes a meticulous level of detail and skill to be competitive as a modern artist. You're often expected to wear the hat of the engineer, producer, arranger, topliner, and mixer all at the same time, especially when you're working on your own.
In this six-week course, you'll work on everything that goes into producing pro-sounding vocals. From arranging background vocals to advanced editing techniques, tuning, mixing, and more, you'll get the hands-on practice and expert feedback you need to achieve the exact sound you're after.
Sırma is a singer, songwriter, producer, and topliner who has recorded with the likes of Akon, Illenium, and Keri Hilson. She has recorded and produced vocals for jingles, for major ads, and written and produced original tracks that hit the top of the Spotify charts in her native Turkey. She studied Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music, where she learned to become a self-sufficient, multi-faceted musician. She also studied production and mixing at London School of Sound, and has worked at various studios specializing in production and sound engineering.
One of Sırma's early musical experiences involved placing third at a professional jazz singing contest at 18. After this event, she was invited to represent Turkey in the World Choir for the 2010 World Cup song "Oh Africa." For the recording session and the music video shoot, Sırma had to interrupt her first semester at Berklee for a week and fly to LA to work with Akon and Keri Hilson. Fresh out of high school and now faced with a packed schedule, she started to understand the true meaning of being a professional musician: always be prepared to seize every opportunity.
Sırma loves working with students at the intersection of songwriting and production, helping them figure out how to produce the sounds they hear in their heads using the software at their fingertips. In particular, she specializes in vocal production.
Our goal in this course is to help you fully produce professional-sounding vocals for your pop songs, including leads, backing vocals, and much more.

This course was designed to be completed in roughly six weeks, assuming students would have a few hours a week to spend on it. Each "week" includes a certain section and challenge activity for you to take on. That said, that timeline is just a casual recommendation — you can choose to blow through it all in one sitting or take a year with it, if you'd like.
You can start the course anytime. If you'd like more accountability and guided feedback from a professional, you can request to work through the course and your own goals with a Soundfly Mentor for four or six weeks, and get a more personalized experience for a specific period of time.
