MORE INFORMATION

What will I learn in this course?

You'll learn the basics of referencing, level, pan, EQ, compression, reverb, delay, and other essential mixing skills to help take your projects and songs to the next level. You'll be able to use these different tools to create more professional-sounding tracks.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

YES. If you sign up and the course isn't what you expected, we will give you a full refund as long as you tell us before the start of the second week. The reason that the second week of the course is a cut-off for our guarantee is simply because if we go past that deadline, our mentors will have likely put in a lot of time, energy, and effort already.

We're also happy to move you to a subsequent session, if you end up not having as much time as you expected. Once again, let us know as soon as possible!

Who are the experts in the course?

We interviewed a number of professional sound engineers about their approaches to certain mixing topics for this course. It includes Brian Losch, Andrew Sarlo, Ebonie Smith (Atlantic Records), Aaron Nevezie (The Bunker Studio), John Davis (The Bunker Studio), Tim Leitner, Jake Aron, Joe Lambert, and David Amlen (Sound on Sound Recording).

Are there any pre-reqs?

There aren't any course prerequisites, but you'll need a basic familiarity with a digital audio workstation (DAW) like Logic, Live, or Pro Tools. We'll be demoing in Logic Pro X throughout this course, but with references to other DAWs from time to time and help from your Mainstage Mentor, if you need it.

What do I get as a Mainstage student?

You'll receive unlimited access to the course materials, a downloadable Course Pack, access to our Soundfly Slack group, and in-depth personalized weekly feedback from a Mainstage Mentor. This Mentor will help you stay accountable to your goals and offer guidance along the way.

What does it mean that the course starts on November 7th?

On the start date, the session begins, which means you'll receive your Course Pack and begin the guided experience that includes weekly activities, feedback from Mainstage Mentors, and much more. This is intended to help you stay accountable and get the feedback you need to succeed.

Will there be future sessions of the course?

Yes! Check back shortly for firm dates, or sign up for a Soundfly account to receive email updates about course dates and new course launches.
