Marcela Rada has over nine years of experience as a sound engineer recording, editing, mixing, and mastering audio for independent artists. She has worked with symphony orchestras, on film scoring sessions, and across genres with a variety of ensembles.
She is currently an instructor in the Digital Audio Arts program at the Univeristy of Lethbridge. Having completed a BA in Music at Lethbridge and a Master’s Degree at Berklee College of Music in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation, Marcela's master’s thesis focused on immersive audio and its application in 360° videos for virtual reality and social media platforms. Marcela has also taught music production and audio engineering at Interlochen Center for the Arts and Algonquin College. In 2020, she completed a Post-Master’s Fellowship to research spatial audio systems and develop a university-level course on immersive audio experiences.
Marcela is well-connected in the music industry, and has collaborated with artists from all around the world and worked at prestigious studios such as Abbey Road Studios in London, UK.
